"Thank you, Reading Assist, for giving me that confidence to know that I can do it and that I will succeed with a little extra effort."

Volunteers — Become a Volunteer

Do you have an hour a week to spare? Reading Assist and Connecting Generations are partnering together with the Colonial School District to recruit volunteers to spend one-on-one time in schools with students. There are several students in the Reading Assist program who could also benefit from a mentor. Mentoring helps children achieve success in school and life by helping to build self-esteem, self-confidence, communication skills, aspirations, and school engagement. Reading Assist and Connecting Generations are working together with students to build a strong foundation in both reading and social emotional skills, so they can be successful in school and life.

Please visit www.connecting-generations.org to apply today or learn more about mentoring!

Reading Assist Institute trains reading interventionists to serve schools in New Castle, Sussex and Kent counties in Delaware, as well as a few selected sites in Pennsylvania.

A personal interview is required before applications will be considered. For more information, or to schedule an interview, please submit your information on our contact form.
