Expanding Reading Support Beyond the School Day

Reading Assist partners with community organizations to bring structured literacy support to more young readers in the places where they already learn, gather, and grow.

Through our high-impact tutoring model, trained Reading Assist Fellows help students build foundational reading skills in community-based settings. Our approach is designed to be flexible, practical, and focused on the students who need support most.

Closing the Literacy Gap

Capacity

Reading Assist brings trained fellows, instructional support, and progress monitoring to community-based programs. This helps partners serve more students with targeted reading support.

Prevention

Early reading support can help students build foundational skills before they fall further behind. By reaching students outside the classroom, community partners can play a meaningful role in closing literacy gaps early.

Affordability

Reading Assist offers a cost-effective way to bring structured literacy support into community settings. Our model helps partners expand services while keeping implementation practical and sustainable.
