Experience an Extraordinary Year

Reading Assist Fellows provide reading instruction to students in kindergarten through third grade who face significant reading challenges.

Your year as a Reading Assist Fellow will start with 3 1/2 weeks of full-time, graduate-level training before you’re embedded in a high-needs elementary school in Delaware, Chester, PA, West Chester, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Magnolia, NJ, or Washington, DC, for a full school year. You’ll work with up to 15 students for 30 minutes a day and meet with an experienced coach each week for support and feedback.

Each year, at least 85% of students in Reading Assist’s program reach foundational benchmarks by the end of the school year.
